    Water Equals Life

    by: Dave Cowan

Water is an amazing thing. You can survive about forty days without food. You can survive three days without water. Just as water is the most abundant substance on the surface of the planet, covering over 75% of the surface, so it is the most abundant substance in our bodies. In order for water to remain vibrant, it must be kept in motion. On the planetary scale, this means moving through the natural cycles of evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and return to the oceans. On the individual scale this means replacing the water circulating in our bodies on a regular basis, allowing for enough water to eliminate toxins and participate in the trillions of chemical exchanges that occur within us every second. Water has been called the ‘universal solvent’ for its ability to bond with practically any other molecule and facilitate it’s recombination with other compounds. Astronomers guess that all the water on the planet originally came from a period of extensive bombardment by comets in the early phases of planetary evolution. This idea was the result of learning comets, which still pass by but in less numbers, are essentially ‘dirty iceballs’...messengers from deep space carrying the elixir of life to hospitable planets. There was an MD in Australia who further surmised that these comets also carry virus’ that are gathered up by the upper atmosphere and forced down to the surface every 11 years. This is why, he said, a ‘new’ influenza appears in conjunction with the 11 years sunspot cycle peak. When the sunspots are most active, they blast the upper atmosphere and bring these little space invaders down to ground zero.

As we age, the proportion of water in our tissues begins to decline. According to Dr. Batmanghelidj’s book, ‘Your Body’s Many Cries for Water’ (see http://www.watercure.com ) we all become progressively dehydrated as we age. He notes the discs between the vertebrae are hydraulic; their size reflects the general level of hydration in the body, as we age, he says, the discs begin to shrink. This is visibly noticeable in the very aged who often lose height. As all the visceral nerves pass through the spine, the increasing pressure on the nerves from disc dehydration puts pressure on the nerves and we experience the common complaints of aging: ‘sluggish’ digestion, heart problems, breathing difficulties, etc. He wrote his book after being put in charge of prisoners in a Bosnian POW camp, but given medicines. His only recourse was to prescribe more water for whatever his patients complained of. To his and their surprise, in most cases it worked. Even ‘psychological’ problems like depression and sleep disturbances improved. Food, or... water for thought.

In Chinese Medicine, water comprises one of the five elements (more accurately, five ‘processes’) that "denote categories of related functions and qualities" (The Web That Has No Weaver, Kaptchuk 2000) and is associated primarily with the Kidneys. Water relates to issues like emotions, passions, empathy, and flow. It is noteworthy that the Kidneys are also associated with Fear. Does not fear block the expression of feelings?

In Nature we see that water is gentle, subtle and life-giving, yet it can also be destructive, either through cataclysmic events like tidal waves or floods, or gradually through erosion. Water also has the unique ability to remain stable in different states, largely the result of temperature. While in these different states, (liquid, solid, vapor) water exhibits unique qualities to each state. Victor Shauberger, a pioneer ‘intuitive scientist’ (1885-1958), detected within naturally moving water two ‘vortexes’ or dynamic properties. These could be described as a ‘yang’ quality that is expansive, powerful and potentially destructive, which the modern industrialized world had capitalized on, and a ‘yin’ quality that is subtle, life giving and repels gravity. His discoveries led to designs for free power devices and anti-gravity technology. Like so many advanced researchers, his work was publicly vilified, while he was hounded and persecuted by military-industrialist interests who felt threatened by his designs.

Of course we have over two hundred years of Homeopathic research and insight largely based on the ability of water to store information. France’s Dr. Benveniste http://www.digibio.com proposed that, contrary to the simplistic ‘lock and key’ model of molecular behavior, that water in living systems allows for the instantaneous communication by electro-magnetic means between molecules. This idea transcends a materialist view of biology, but helps explain the quantum-like response of the body to Homeopathics...the Homeopathic instantly communicates with the water matrix of the body creating a global shift in all water-mediated events.

While attending a Dowsing training http://www.raymongrace.com I observed the trainer ‘charging’ water with a simple process of focused intent. He claimed that this could also be done at a distance and showed us emails of people around the world who benefited from this charged water. Dr Emoto http://www.hado.nethas been publicizing his amazing research into water through his books and lectures. He feels water is a form of life akin to what we call ‘spirit’, and that simply by labeling, using pictures or even focusing our intent, he is able to demonstrate influences on the crystal structure of the water once frozen. The implications of this work are amazing, especially when you consider our bodies are mostly water...the words and labels we give ourselves and others are determining the quality of our quantum-communication system! Since reading his work, I have taken to making labels for our water containers...Dr. Emoto says the best results are with the two words ‘love’ and ‘gratitude’. (I though about ‘gratitude’...it’s like a combination of ‘grace’ and ‘attitude’).
